BMW 330d vs A4 3.0TDi vs C320 CDi vs Citroen C5 HDI

I hope you’re not tired of comparison articles since I have one more for you. We have pretty much seen all the reviews that involved the 3 Series, M cars, Audi’s, MB’s, etc..What I haven’t seen so far was a review on some European only models, such as the BMW 330d or Mercedes C320CDi.

Since many of our readers live in Europe, I think it will be fair to cover some of their models as well. With that being said, the German folks at Autobild put together a comparison test drive between the previously mentioned BMW 330d, the Audi A4 3liter TDI, Mercedes Benz’s C320CDi and…..a new contestant, the C5 HDI from the French manufacturer Citroen.

For those of us that don’t master the German language, I have a Google translation for you, not 100% accurate, but it will give you an idea.

But just to spoil the conclusion a little bit, all I want to say is that the 330d takes the trophy home.

BMW 330d

  • 245 PS @ 4,000 rpm
  • 520 Nm (383 lb-ft) @ 1,750 – 3,000 rpm
  • 0-62 mph in 6.1 sec
  • 49 mpg hwy / 32 mpg city / 35 mpg combined
  • 152 g/km CO2

1: BMW 330d (0-60 6.3 sec)
2: Audi A4 3.0TDI  (0-60 6.6 sec)
3: Mercedes-Benz C320CDI (0-60 7.2 sec)
4: Citroen C5 HDI (0-60 9.6 sec)

    love comparisons, please have more in future. Also I think the BMW is the best looking car as well. I must say that Audi is really getting more boring by the minute.

    Haft både AUdi og Mercedes. Men ingen kører bedrer end Citroen. Citroen c5 overgår dem i komfort. Hvis Citroen fortsætter med at nærmere sig tysk ´kvalitet hvilket der er noget der tyder på , vil Citroen i det kommende årti overgå Audi, BmW og Mercedes i kvalitet. I komfort er det mange år siden at DS19 overgik tysk og engelsk bil industri.
