@Lance:I think BMW should have used the 3 series coupe front for the sedan facelift. This would be consistent with the M3 coupe front they used for the M3 sedan front. I agree with the rear that it could have been better by using the silver strip or even sticking with the 3 series coupe rear. But I really don't know what the cost impact would have been.

To be frank I am really surprised that they even made these changes. It is a bold move that shows that BMW is listening to its customers. I see the facelifts in MB and Porsche-VAG cars and I laugh. Does anybody even notice them, why do they bother making facelifts?

I think that's the point, they wanted to push as many M3's out before the facelift so that they can get a facelift out straight afterwards to maintain high sales volume. Quite frankly, I don't think they care about the resale value of their older M3's at all - which is highly irresponsible of BMW. I can just imagine those M3 owners up in arms, thinking they made a good decision purchasing the M3 and now BMw comes out with a better (new) one. I guess those customers will not be returning for the M3 again - maybe to another brand or just a 335i. ad this is something BMW did not foresee and will be punished for.

I would also like to comment on the rear lights of the new facelifted sedans: I think they are so blood red and the entire thing is red, it looks kind of evil. I think it would look so much better with a silver strip like the X5, X6. It's a pity though. Does anyone agree?

The more I see the E90 M3, the more I like it over it's Coupe brethren. I like the Q-car-ness of the E90 over the E92.

What can anyone say about this car? This car is "money"! I have one complaint about the company though...

The date the M3 sedan came out was too close to the 3 series sedan facelift, and consequently to the 2009 M3 sedan facelift. If I was an M3 sedan owner I would be definitely disappointed! BMW has to be more careful with their product launches because, with such practices they devalue their cars (second hand price of the car when someone wants to sell it). I am not implying that buying a car is an investment, but it is one thing having to deal with the "aging" of the car and another thing having the car company devaluing the car.
