Who said that BMW X6 is a failure are being proven wrong one more time. As mentioned back in August, Acura is working on a crossover concept that will compete against the X6.
The car will be most likely launched in 2010 and the rumor among the industry experts hints to a base price of $50,000. Of course, these are numbers are purely based on speculation and the market value of its competitors.
The Acura prototype sports an extremely low roofline that will give the car a coupe-like profile and the overall shape, strongly suggests that this is their version of a crossover coupe.
The heavy camouflage is not helping and it pretty much covers the whole design and at this point, I come to appreciate the BMW’s camos, at least it teases us more.
So, what do you think? Did BMW start a trend with their Sport Activiy Coupe?

Man, that was a fast development!
This CUV look promising. I don’t actually like the X6, except of the mat black X6 you showed here :) , and think this one will look even better than BMW.
Let’s wait a few more months to see it with less camo and then compare it to other CUVs.
But yeah, seems like more luxury coupe-crossovers will hit the market shortly.
The X6 is much better and sexy and HOT !!!
and sure it will be in performance as well ;)
@Gragop: yup. I’m wondering how the final product will look like. Acura has pretty decent designs.
@Kia Soul: Yeah, the matte one is AMAZING
