We have been trying for a while to get some photos of the high-end version of the BMW X6, xDrive50i. Our friend and sponsor of the blog, Alex Dytko from BMW of Peabody, had the chance to drive the car and share his thoughts and photos with us.
Powered by the amazingly powerful 4.4 liter V8 twin-turbo engine that outputs 400 horsepower and 450lb-ft torque, it has the sound of the //M product.
There is not one option not available in BMW X6 xDrive50i versus the M5 or M6, but the biggest advantage is AWD which is the best we have so far, and minor – rear entertainment system. Next year they will put it into the X5, X3 , 3 and 5 series. It is called Dynamic Performance Control and its advantage lays in the fact that it helps eliminates understeer.
The twin-turbo engine from X6 will be put in the new generation BMW 750Li next spring.
All the reviews we have seen so far were raving about the handling and power of the new X6, so I can’t wait to drive one and see for myself.
If you have more questions regarding the xDrive50i, feel free to reach out to Alex: adytko@bmwpeabody.com
