Ok, I’m that guy on the way to work … in 5th gear in town, ignoring the 30-mph limit, twiddling with the iDrive to find just the right drive-to-work music, avoiding the streets with school zones just so I don’t have to slow down … all hunkered down in the sport seat, with the sunroof open, windows down before the sun is barely up.

This morning, I found Adema’s “Giving In,” and it was perfect. :)

FYI, from Jalopnik. Funny – it’s true about those Audi drivers.

“Pricks drive BMW convertibles. Old people drive Mercedes sedans. Boring people drive Lexus crossovers. At least that’s the message Audi wants you to hear with its new viral marketing effort, a web mini-series called “Meet the Beckers.” The mini-series tells the tale of a dysfunctional affluent family. Although we’ve got to admit that often times the stereotypes portrayed in the advertisement show are dead-on and funny as hell, we’re forgetting one stereotype. You know, that Audi drivers are self-righteous assholes who think they have the right to judge everyone else. Come to think of it, the viral vid appears to be totally spot on.”

And for the record, I’m a Bimmer driver (3rd one now), and if I drive somewhat “confidently” from time to time, it’s because I CAN thanks to the car’s amazing engineering. Nose-heavy Audis and numb Lexii/Benzes just can’t drive with the same abilities.

@bunker: I don't know, I own a BMW and I agree that I might like techno music, but that's about it :) Not even close to that behavior. Still funny video though and I'm keeping my bimmer. :)

People think Audi drivers don’t drive like pricks too? For some reason everytime I have one behind me it’s a girl who’s barely tall enough to see over the wheel to see how frighteningly close she is to my rear pumped. That it’s a modded out POS.

This is most likely a viral ad by Audi’s PR/marketing people. In this video, only the Audi driver is not crazy, cocky, or dysfunctional. It features the brand new A4, while the other models are older. And this relates to the Audi TV spots that show the home makeover from stodgy to modern and the replacement of the Benz with an Audi in the driveway.

Wow, I think you missed this completely.

BMW – Prick/poseur/spoiled

Lexus – Stepford/twisted/oblivious

Mercedes – Arrogant/aloof/self-absorbed/inconsiderate

Audi – Rational/level-headed/smart

From my experience, these are all DEAD ON (I drive a Bimmer, am thinking about moving to Audi, my parents drive Mercedes, and I know plenty of twisted people who drive Lexus).
