Autospies’ editor, codename Agent001, managed to take some new spy photos of the next generation BMW 5 Series along with the all-new BMW concept, PAS, short for Progressive Activity Sedan. The test mules were initially spotted in the beautiful Alps and then in a small austrian town.
The cars are going under heavy testing and they haven’t moved into the FEP stages. As you can see, the 5 Series test mule is rocking the “famous” exhaust system that we have seen on the 3 Series facelift a while back. Unfortunately the cars are heavily camouflaged and once again, we cannot really see any design elements nor the real shape and size. But we did “hear” recently that the 2010 BMW 5 Series and the Progressive Activity Sedan will take some design cues from the recently revealed BMW 7 Series.
Is that a good sign? Not sure yet, but I have confidence in the Bavarian automaker after I have seen their BMW X1 design.
Here are a couple of photos and you can see the rest of them at Autospies.
Thanks for the great photos D!

When’s the PAS supposed to be revealed? Soon right? I’m getting antsy as I haven’t made fun of anything in a few days!
Ahh also – it’s never good to endorse autospies. Those guys are dirty.
