Hi Alan,

Sorry to disappoint you, but most of the software that you run on your PC are made by Indians and probably they're the backbone of your company's IT Infrastructure. Having an Indian Owner, would soon be a better proposition than having a troubled US / European Owner.

With the new XJ coming up, I think Jag is taking a better turn (than under Ford), under the Indian firm, Tata Motors.

GOD Bless!

This car is lovely. I haven't test driven yet but it exterior has an edge to it and the interior is by far the best in the class. Audi, Bimmer, Benz, Lexus, Acura are not even close in interior design. From the start up sequence to an absolutely sick stereo - the XF is bringing much needed fresh air to the class.

If the New 5 Series does not come correct with its redesign - especially with the interior - I will lean towards the XF. As it stands today, i think the XF is the best car and best value in the segment. And judging from every head on or segment comparison test - this appears to be true. E-Class failed. Audi, Bimmer the pressure is on.

When i first saw this car on the road my first expression was pure surprise! it looked stunning! A few weeks ago my neighbour purchesed one and every time he drives it out of the gaurage my jaw drops. I really dont want to like this car but its just amazing apearance wise! Im only 15 and this is the first modern jaguar i have ever liked. If jaguar starts to make cars like this then BMW and Mercedes-benz will have another huge problem other then Audi. If i where to by a one of thoughs cars i would be choosing between the E-class or the Jag. Sorry 5-series!

@Artmic: Design wise is not bad, better than before I think, their style was getting too ancient at one point. Now, we're all kinda biased here since we love bimmers :) I'm sure many people will choose it before the 5er, especially if they are looking for a comfy ride.

See this car in person and it's a different story. This car possesses a lot more presence than other recent Jags.

how can any of you view this Jaguar as a good looking car? :)
it looks like a stupid ass Chrysler Concord. (at least the front does)... So why pay premium for this car, just find an old Chrysler Concord, slap a jaguar badge on it, and presto, you got yourself an XF

What's funny is when I forwarded this article to Horatiu last night we had a quick email conversation about this car. His point - and I agree - is that this thing looks good, but unfortunately it doesn't deliver the driving experience of a BMW which is why I don't see this eating many, if any, true sales of the 5.

The Jag over the BMW, anyday. I've never liked the interior of the BMW 5 series, and the Jag is so refreshing

I think it's goregeous! I've seen one when on vacation on the Pag island in Croatia and, man this car looks good! I love the styling of BMW 5 (my favourit bimmer). It still looks good, despite it's age, but this new Jag is even better.
As Andrew said, the pictures don't do its justice. You have to see it in-person to know we talk about!

Refreshing, simple yet modern looks - interior and exterior! nothing revolutionary under the hood, but it is a great car and if I had choice, I would go with the Jaguar

fyi..XF came on top vs E550, 550 and 4.2 A6
