I don't understand this point: The US government (Bush) wants the oil price to increase to benefit those oil companies in America (by invading Iraq and middle East countries - clearly the weapons of mass destruction was a bluff!) Now they got their objective with oil pirce peaking at 140 a few months ago. pushing inflation, making ordinary citizens around the world suffer with higher prices and interest rate hikes and so on, which leads to a pending recession in the US and credit problems, damaging the entire US economy. So I wonder, is America not digging their own graves? The worst is that the res of the world is affected - even global companies like BMW. After this mess, people should really think about their elections. Politicians should not accept any donantios from companies, especially oil companies as they will do things that will benefit oil companies when they are in power at the expense of all citizens and the country! while oil companies are smiling. It is a pity!
