I don't know why BMW felt they had to announce this though. I'm sure Mercedes, Audi and Lexus are all feeling the squeeze just the same if not worse. BMW needs to allow themselves time to adjust their production levels accordingly if they're trying to bump up residuals and move BMW a little further up market. This financial crisis has only been very apparent in the last month or so despite the housing bubble bursting earlier in the year as a sort of segue into this. In the end, this will all pass and BMW will surely see an increased demand for the new 7...
