@John: ...ummmm ever heard of Powdercoating or better yet two sets of wheels??? Anyway with the rear towhook and the possibly gutted backseat (3rd pic down) it DOES seem to lean towards a track car.

@<a href="#comment-58050" rel="nofollow">adood84</a>:
i know i know i know. I guess since it's just sitting here in the pics it looks like a street car dressed up to "appear to be a track car." I'm all for function, especially in the name of performance ;-) Maybe it's me but anything other than a stock, factory body kit on most modern BMW's looks a bit ricey. The exception being possibly the Alpina kits and some of Hartge's stuff.

I think it's a track car too. If you look, it looks like the backseat was stripped out. That said, it still looks horrible. Slapping a bunch of stupid looking crests and stickers on an M3 will not make it go faster...that's what lots of ///M badges are for.

again I well say this , I think its a track car, its got a BBK , and for me it seems to have some kind of semi slick tires on those wheels , also it seems to have those tow things on bumper front and back to get towed if anything happened on the track. I know the wing is ugly but you have to put it into perspective I believe he has put it on there to generate more downforce on the rear so by that I wouldn't judge this car by looks I would judge on it performance .

maybe he is using it as a track car and this wing he has on the back is more of a functional device than a cosmetic one
