I understand that but the 1 Coupe will still only be a 4~5 year run if the predecessor is due out in 2012

I thought they wouldn't going to build a supercar M1 revival?

the 1 series hatchback has been released in Europe for a couple of years now , but the coupe has just been released in 2008 over the world .

The CS Concept will be the base of the next 8 Series, or GT, whichever BMW will choose as the name.

Here are the followin things that make me say WTF:

1. the CS concept is being produced into a car? what is this going to be? the 8 Series? It can't be the new flagship/halo car if...
2. There is a "super car/ M1 revival" which everyone keeps denying is going to be produced. Wouldn't this be top dog at BMW?
3. I do like the idea of a Z2 or some sort of smaller, light weight roadster/coupe
4. I thought the 1 series sedan was axed as there wasn't a market for it? I know it was seen testing a year or two ago but last I heard it was kapute.

I dunno - maybe I'm off on these, just food for thought.

The 1 Series has been out for 3~4 years in Europe so it's life cycle really is 7 years. It's just that the US has recently started to receive the that product in BMW's lineup while Europe's enjoyed it for a while.

OK so when is the expected date for a e92/e93 faclift? another thing on that list that doesn't make sense is , that the 1er coupe was released in 2008 add 6 model years to that and you get a new 1er coupe around (2014-2015), I'm considering getting a 1er coupe in a couple of months I really hope that the model life span of the 1er is more than 3 years (as stated by this roadmap)
