I just came across a video showing BMW’s ConnectedDrive system. I don’t recall this video being shown before, so I thought I will share it with you.

It is only about 7 minutes long, but it goes into a lot of details when it comes to the functionality of the ConnectedDrive system and the best part is that the review is not too formal, the discussion between the BMW representative and Paul Tan (Paultan.org) flows freely.

It’s always funny to hear the end-users getting excited about the little gadgets and features.

We did cover the BMW ConnectedDrive many times before, including a few videos, so if you would like to refresh your memory or catch up on things, here are some good articles to read:

Oh, did I tell you that Google is the default homepage on ConnectedDrive? Wonder if it was BMW’s choice or Google had to shell out some money for that.

Pff, in Belgium anything related to Internet and mobile phones is so retarded and years behind every other country. In Belgium and The Netherlands this system is not available due to compatibility problems or something like that. I already saw myself checking out bmwblog.com on the way to work every morning ;)

I hope owners of 2009 BMW with the new i-drive can upgrade their cars either via software or hardware maybe even a retrofit to get internet access when its available, has anyone heard anything about 2009/2010 cars with the new i-drive being able to upgrade or retrofit to get internet access. I can already send maps via google to my car, would be great to get internet access in the car, mostly for emails.
