A few months ago when the new Pontiac G8 GT came out Pontiac was going nuts on how much better it was then the BMW 5-Series, particularly the 550i. I did an article about the Pontiac versus the BMW. Well, I have the whole truth for you. While up in Chicago, thanks to Bill Sullivan Pontiac in Arlington Heights, IL, we were able to test drive a brand new 2009 G8 GT.
I won’t tell you what I thought of either car, I’ll just let you watch the videos. And when you get to the walk around of the G8, please turn up your sound… Sorry for the low volume.
Enjoy,

1The Pontiac is great value for the money, no doubt about that…. but if you can afford the 70 grand why not go for something more refined? just my 2 cents :=)

2Is this 550i comes with the V8 4.4 TT? With the driving experiences of 07 S8 for quite a while, I actually like my 08 535xi more than anything else! To me, the inline 6 TT gets its best place under 5er’s hood ( I got 335xi too ).

3@vtsung: It is actually a Naturally Aspirated 4.4L V8. The TT will come in the next 550i. But, yes, the TT-I6 is flawless. It provides so much emotion when you run it, you just get a great sense of pride in driving it, alone.
