@carversation.com: Thanks man. To me, the M3 will always be worth the extra price of admission. It's just that car. Same with all of the ///M cars. They are just that much better. Basically, take the awesomeness of 2 335's and mash them together. That still doesn't equal the perfection of the M3.

The 335i is a great car! Hands down, one of the best on sale today. For the money, it performs better than any at that price, and many higher priced cars, too.

The M3 is probably a bit harsher of a ride for most people. But I actually prefer it. I think the M3 is just the perfect balance of sport, performance and luxury.

you're lucky. So Josh after driving the 335 and m3, how do they differ? obviously speed and engine but I mean is it worth the extra price above a 335i?

Nice review! The gear shifting is something that people need to get used to, so no comment from my part. We should also take into account that the (manual) shift from 2nd to 3rd gear has the most kick (characteristic for every BMW).

I remember the first reviews that I read for the E92 M3 was that it's steering had a more muted feel compared to it's predecessor and that it wasn't as "hard core" as the previous model and that they couldn't wait for the CSL version. I think these are foolish comments.

The new model became more friendlier, more predictable and more controllable at its limits and much more faster. What more could someone ask for an everyday grand tourer? This car is still the benchmark no matter what the paid authors from the VAG Group say.

@Giom: Thanks buddy. Yeah, when it comes to being with the cars I feel more at ease. I love them... I love talking about them, but there's nothing like rolling up your sleeves and putting one through your personal tests.

@Horatiu B.: Oh, that is so not fair!!! I was in reverse and you and Alex were yelling at me because I was going to hold up cars...

I was trying to parallel park Horatiu's 335i into a tight spot... I got it in with no problems. I did stall it in reverse. I didn't expect having to give it so many revs. In my defense, I was driving in Downtown Chicago! I have never driven there before. SO HA! to you Horatiu! Hahaha.

Hey, Ford gave me a few thumps ups for taking the Bullitt so hard around the track and surviving. Haha.

@Kodey: Hahaha, yes, my 2nd to 3rd shifting was nothing special. My 1st to 2nd before that was a little off. It may not look it on camera since it was so shaky, but dropping the clutch into 2nd was actually quite appeasing, unlike most cars. The 1st to 2nd shift in the M3 is so weird because it's such a long gear shift...

It is a different experience to shift, drive, concentrate on possible Police cars, talking on camera, trying to think of something good to say, and not missing a step.
