Could this be a sign that BMW will indeed build an M1 Hommage concept? Well, we're not so sure, these photos that were released yesterday, might belong to the same set of pictures taken around the official M1 Hommage unveiling.
Regardless, we thought it will be cool to see the Hommage in "action" again since it has received some good press back in April.

BMW revived the M1 Pro race for the German Grand prix and now this , I think BMW are doing some marketing and just building up excitement for fans by doing this , why do all this for 30 years ?? , usually companies do it for 25 years , 50 years , 75 years and 100 years …. there is nothing special about the number 30 unless they are doing all this because they are considering releasing an all new M1 . Just a thought I could be wrong though
It’s for:
1. BMW patting themselves on the back.
2. Probably a good test mule to see how a BMW supercar would be received by the public.
frankly, this machine is more like a retro car design somehow reminds lamborghini 70-80 years
@Gragop: 1. I agree 2. It is the same concept that was revealed earlier in April, but just used in a different photoshoot environment. Still no engine under that hood
@adood84: Interesting point of view. It’s really hard to tell at this point what their goal is, but I do see an M1 in the future, and I hope it will not be an M1 based on the current 1 Series.
@fiat croma: I think the design is still futuristic while keeping the “old school” in mind
Well I think that The M1 is a fake just by looking at the front bumper which is too flat to allow any acceleration. They would rather work like air breaks.
Imagine this vehicle at a very high speed. There would be a tremendous pressure built up at front by air. If the vehicle is powerful enough to still push to further acceleration then the back wheel would start skidding resulting in a lose of control. I can not believe that M1 is designed by BMW.
