Hopefully the tail end of the next 5 won’t look like a down-market Kia Rio. A BMW should not have candy lights. It’s not Japanese.

wow i hope they make the new 5 look better than it is,
in my opinion it is the ugliest BMW right now on the roads…followed by the 3 series sedan, although for 2009 they re-did the look of the 3 Sedan and it actually looks better, way better than before.

I’ve got no problem with the sevens stretchyness – its a limo after all.

I also doubt that the five will reflect any of the sevens styling cues – except maybe the large kidney grill. BMW has, for a time now, been giving every model size its own identity.

I’m betting that the styling cues from the 7 series will work much better with the 5 series proportions. The 7 seems too stretched out, imo.

Really looking forward to seeing more images of the next generation 5 Series as well as seeing what the next generation’s cars will have in regards to power……especially in the M versions….

OH, the size of those wheels!!!

Silhouette too looks very smooth and sporty.

As with the seven, we should be expecting some ‘getting-used-to’ aspects in the details – I think.
