Our dear friend Palbay, sent us an email yesterday with the latest photos of a ready-for-production BMW X6 Twin-Turbo V8. The higher end version of the X6, codenamed xDrive50i, will be released later this year and it will be equipped with a new 400hp 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 engine.
In a previous article back in January, a confidential BMW document showed a comparison between the xDrive50i, the Porsche Cayenne GTS and Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged. The X6 V8 literally”killed” its competitors in every test, including 0-60 and best MPG.
Here is what Palbay sent us in:
Here are some pic’s of a production level TTV8 X6. This is a Vermilion Red ,Non Sport Package, with 19″ Style 257 wheels and running boards. This is the base TTV8 X6 setup. Not seen this setup in any of BMW’s marketing info. The fact that BMW has released the Plant Mgr’s to drive these cars home….means TTV8 X6 production is well underway.
Enjoy the photos!
Thanks again Palbay!
P.S Here are some of the first official BMW X6 Photos

Finally…funny thing though, I have yet to see ANY X6 cars on the roads….and I mean NONE!!!! I wonder why???
Cheers,
@Mark: You live in Texas Mark, no wonder LOL GM and Ford trucks only. Kidding, don’t take offense
I can’t wait to drive this bad boy. Does anyone know what will be the base price?
I don’t know why so many people want to drive or buy an X6.. I drove one and did’t like it at all.
I think it’s too big and looks just horrible, especially the back!
@Gerrit: Wait for the xDrive50i, it will make a huge difference when it comes to speed and handling. I agree that the back is not the best looking, but the car has potential and it covers an interesting segment of the market.
