The BMW 3 Series Facelifted version photos were released by BMW just a few days ago, but what were lacking were some undisguised real life photos of BMW's new 3 Series E90. Perka, a member of Germancarzone has spotted the E90 facelift somewhere in Munich.
As we have seen in the official photos, the new facelift brings a few different things to the table: a heavily profiled bumper, newly contoured hood and reworked headlamps with altered graphics.
At the rear, the new LED taillights have replaced the previously not-so-hot ones. The rear has a widener look due to its redesigned bumper and rear track that on upper-end models has been extended by nearly an inch.
We won't get into all the details now, but our previous article should give you a better idea of what to expect from the BMW 3 Series Sedan facelift.

Looks good. I always thought the tail lights on the E90 were pretty bland. The rear looks much better. I like it.
Thats the M-sport/M-tech body kit on the LCI.

looks like a toyota corolla. it is a compact sedan, what do you expect?
Not impressed. Reminds me of the latest Civic sedan…..BMW is losing its touch.
This is becoming a BMW design trend – new models with bland details followed by sharper detailing come the facelift. Witness E46 update of coupe and sedan. Now it’s the E90’s turn. It appears to be the same old design detail tricks too, namely to throw some LEDs in the taillights.
Check out the reverse light on the new E90 facelift, it’s the same small blacked out slitty rectangle that graced the updated E46 coupe in 2004.
Please BMW design, lets include these neat features from day one moving forward.
@john mel: From what I heard, they are looking to combine some successful older design elements with other innovative ones, but they won’t be going the “space ship” design route. I think they did an ok job on the facelift versions and it gives more value to the sedan in compare to the coupe, which leads in their sales.
