It has been a while since photos of the next generation BMW Z4 have surfaced onto the web. Our dear friend Rich from AutomotiveTraveler spotted the 2010 BMW Z4 somewhere in the Californian desert.
Sporting a different camouflage than the Z4 seen at Nurburgring , the test mule is still heavily covered and the fine details are well hidden. As far as the exterior, one major change from the current model, is the introduction of a retractable hardtop, similar to what Mercedes-Benz has in their SLK models.
We know by now that BMW will be shifting the production of the next generation BMW Z4 back to BMW’s Regensburg plant in Germany instead of the current Z4’s production base in Spartanburg, South Carolina, so we expect more photos to be seen soon.
