Early last week, we posted an article on which we thought to be a teaser for the new BMW 7 Series. www.never-stand-stiil.com is a website created by BMW and it represents a countdown to an event that will be held in Moscow's Red Square.
In the preparation for this special event, BMW has built a huge hourglass that has been filled up with 180,000 balls. In the latest video, that could be found on the www.never-stand-still.com website, we learned that there are another 172,000 balls to go, so this clearly tells us that the event will be just the beginning of a project that BMW is working on….or the beginning of a new technology….or maybe a new engine?
Many speculations are floating around, anywhere from the unveiling of the BMW M3 CSL, or 1 Series tii to a new urban car and hybrid technology(X6, 7 Series). Looking at all the hints, I would have to go the hybrid route or an improved new technology that will set a new standard in the auto industry.
Even the terms "Never Stand Still" implicitly state the need to change something and always look for progress or in this case…a new technology maybe. I think something along this line will be revealed today and it will be a long term project hence the 172,000 balls left.
What do you guys think?
