Today we have some very nice European racing action from the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The video was filmed during the 3rd lap of a 4-hour-race that took place there.

The car with the camera is a modified BMW Z4 Motorsport, but since this car "only" has about 400 horsepower the guys at Getrag decided to mount a more powerful V8-engine into the chassis. The driver, Michael Bäder, is chasing the winning car of the 24-hour-race 2007, a Porsche 911 RSR (996) from Manthey Racing.

Manthey Racing did also win the 2008-event, but this time with a 997-RSR that you can see at the beginning of this video, it is the overtaking Porsche with the yellow and green painting. The Getrag-Z4 did not participate at the 24-hour-race and the youtube-video is from a training-session in march.

Thanks to Frank Uhlig for correcting our information!

We hope you enjoy the racing action as much as we did :-)

And the Youtube version, thanks to Eric.

ok, you removed the directlink but the complete text is bullshit.
the 3rd. lap from june 21st. 2008 you can see at http://www.motorsportvideo.tv.
    it was a 4h-race, not the 24h-race.
the getrag bmw z4 with the v8-engine was not startet at the 24h-race in 2008. the car you mean is a Z4 from schubert-motorsport. this car was on position 3 and crashed.
the youtube video is a lap from march 2008, this was only a testrun, not a race.
