Here is a picture of an artist's renderings of what the 2010 BMW M3 CLS might turn out as far as design goes. Renderings are great and the M3 CLS brings an aggressive look, different than the E90/E92 models.
No official images have been leaked of the CSL and no specifications as of now. By the way, I really like the carbon fiber on the hood and we can certainly state that many carbon fiber elements will be used on the M3 CLS, similar to the BMW tii.
The car is rumored to be released late 2009-early 2010, but how many ponnies do you think the CSL will have and what features?

From the sources I know there won’t be a CSL at all of the current M3. There might be a lightweight-3-series with less power. But an M3 CSL is very expensive to construct, it should be faster than it’s predecessor which is a very high goal, and there only few people out there willing to spend more than 100.000 €uros for a BMW 3-series. For that kind of money you can get a Porsche GT3 as well… So BMW can not produce such a car if they want to make money with it. And since BMW is very ungenerous concerning such projects…
If you ask me: No E9x M3 CSL!
This is really nice. I like the hood, reminds of the 1 Series Concept Tii. But I didn’t hear that BMW are making a CSL version.
