Just a couple of days ago, we posted new photos of a 2010 BMW 5 Series test mule being driven around the Nurburgring track.What really caught my attention in those photos, was the large kidneys' frame that was installed on the test mule.

Yesterday, the fellows at WorldCarFans posted some new spy photos of the 5 series, spotted somewhere around Munich. It is probably the same car that was seen around the Ring, so nothing new, but hey, I thought I'll share them with you anyway.

And here is a refresher on some of the things the 5 Series will bring to the bimmer fans:

• the F10 5-Series will receive a new 8-speed electronic automatic transmission for ultra smooth shifts and efficiency while the M5 will be the only 5 Series model to receive the new double clutch M-DCT sequential transmission.
• Optional all-wheel drive
• Six petrol engines from the 2.5-liter 218hp to 4.4 liter V8 twin-turbo with 400hp 
• Four diesels ranging from 2.0 liter 175hp to the twin turbo 286hp 3.0-liter inline 6.

Since the new BMW 7 Series is almost here, expect more 5 Series test mules to be seen all over Munich.
