Posted by Horatiu B. as 7-series
Would you mind? The car in these renderings definitely looks better than the current 7'ers, but for some reason, I expected more. I really hoped that BMW will revolutionize their higher-end luxury models and use more design elements from the amazing CS Concept.
It is obvious that BMW decided to go the safe route and we will have to wait and see if that was a smart move, especially since its direct competitor, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, is still the "king" in their class.
For more details on the new 7 series, you can always visit these great resources we have posted over the last months:

1Horatiu, why would you even post these images if we KNOW this is NOT the 7. We’ve all seen the spy shots. This is a photoshoped 3 series coupe.
Not long now people!

2Agree. It just looks like a bigger E92, and that is NOT what the 7 series should be.

3I agree with the photo, because yesterday i went to the bmw stand and the guy, that i know very well, said to me that he lready saw the nem 5 series and the new 7 series, and he told me that the 5 series will looks an executive car, and the 7 series will looks a coupe, so i agre with those photos (sry my english, im portuguese)

4I think it looks good , and looking at spy pics it might be close to what it actually looks like from the front .

5@Giom: The reason I posted was to see the reaction of people if BMW would have actually designed the 7 like this. From what I learned and seen, I have a pretty good idea how the 7 will look like. It is def a better looking car than the one in these photos, but…it is not revolutionary either. Btw, the brochures and everything else are printed, so any day now.

6@Rich: An image that I posted a few weeks back, it’s almost identical to what the 7 will look like, it was a rendering by one of the german magazines.

7@Horatiu B.: I think BMW isn’t going for revolution this time around , they are going for evolution of the current design. You can’t always go for revolution people don’t like a lot of change , so you may see revolution in the generation after this new one.

8i just don’t agree with the wheels and with the blast pipes, because if you see the spy photos you will notice that the blast pipes are a little bit rectangulars

10Hiiiiiiiiii
WELL WHAT I THINK SERIOUSLY IT IS FABOLOUS DESIGN BMW HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY FIRST CHOICE THE BMW DESIGNING ENGINEERS HAVE DONE SO MUCH OF RESEARCH AND HARD WORK I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT THIS BMW 7 SERIES WOULD BE VERY EASY TO HANDLE AND ALSO VERY SMOOTH FOR DRIVING IN INDIA AND OTHER PARTS OF THEWORLD SINCE THE BMW WAS LAUNCHED IN INDIA DURING THE YEAR 2006 THE CRAZY FOR BMW CONSUMERS HAVE INCREASED AND I AM ONE OF THEM INSHALLAH I WOULD BE THE NEXT ONE TO BUY A BMW 7 SERIES SEDAN.

11Makes no difference to me as I anticipate NEVER owning a 7 Series…seriously, the 7 Series will never be in any future stable…I will always like the 1er, 3er, 5er, 6er and M models…
Cheers,
Gunnar

12I hope not! The artist’s rendition gave the big 7 a pig’s nostrils!

13Putting aside the legitimacy (or illegitimacy) of these photos, I like this design. The car is a lot sleeker, that is apart from the huge grill compared with the tiny headlights.
Hopefully a bit more like the CS Concept though, that would make the car a lot more attractive.
