Internet in your car? Google Maps on your Navigation screen? What could have been next other than a BMW Racing game coming to your mobile phone. Hands-On Mobile, an UK games developer announced today that it has entered into a licensing agreement with BMW AG and Nürburgring GmbH, owner of the Nürburgring Nordschleife track, to bring the game BMW Racing to cell phone.
The game will allow the players to drive around the 'Ring track one of the six different cars available for them, starting with the BMW M3, M5, M6 and ending with the current Formula One racer BMW Sauber F1.08.
I guess we can all drop the Texas Hold'em games for a while and test the amazing M cars around the virtual 'Ring.
BMW Racing will be launching on carriers across Europe, APAC and Latin America this summer. Of course, the U.S Market is always the last to the table when it comes to latest cell phone or anything related to Mobile technology.
Btw, do you guys remember when we talked about the future of mobile devices and BMW's ConnectedDrive with in-car internet access? Well, we are not that far off. If I were to bet on something, it will be a software that will be available in the near future, an application that will run on the iPhone and connect with your BMW Nav System, which will allow you to perform multple functions, either remotely or plugged in.
