Update: 2009 BMW 3 Series Official Press Photos
The fellows at autozeitung.de were able to snap some new photos of the upcoming 2009 BMW 3 Series facelift. The subject has been covered many times in the past and honestly, nothing has changed. Less than two weeks ago, we have posted an article in which one of our sources pointed out that the new 3 Series facelifted sedan will get side mirrors similar to the ones Mercedes-Benz has.
Judging from these latest spy photos, that statement seems to be true. Now, I'm not sure if I really dig these type of side mirrors, but one thing that I love seeing on the facelifted sedan, are the LED tail lights. The latest european regulations require the side mirrors to have a larger size than the ones on the current 3 series, so we're assuming that BMW did not really have much of a choice here.
Unfortunately, there are still no interior photos, but an articles a few days ago, pointed out that a new iDrive system will be used.
That's it for now, but expect more photos to follow, especially since the 2009 3 Series have been seen all over Munich for the past few weeks.

For a complete photo set, go to http://www.automotorundsport.de. The lower engine air inlet has been turned “upside down”, with the ends turned up rather than down – makes the from look 100% better. Now if only BMW would ditch the run flat tires…..
