Pure speculations at this point, but….it's a possibility. A while ago, we reported that BMW might revive the Isetta and transform it in a small urban mobility vehicle. We know that BMW is already pushing for more eco-cars, so building an ecologically-compatible car for the U.S. market, it's something that will make sense and in the same time help them to achieve the status of being perceived as a large vehicle manufacturer here in the States.
In the same time, sources say that small gas and diesel engines were proposed for Isetta already, and they have been approved, so in the end, we might see a total different car carrying an all electric engine.
At this point, we can only speculate and I'm sure that this a long term project and nothing exciting will become available before 2012.
