During their press conference, BMW has revealed a new M3 racing model that will compete in the American LeMans Series. Bobby Rahal and David Letterman are teaming up to bring the fourth-generation M3 to the racing series. Bobby was present during the conference and everyone was really excited to see him there.
In this M3, BMW manage to squeeze more power out of their 4.0L V8, from 414 to 485 horse power. The chassis of the M3 has been enhanced for the track, and weight has been reduced to make the fast M3 even faster. As expected, there is no dashboard, no passenger seat, smaller steering wheel.
The previous two generations of M3 hold six manufacturers championships in nine years of US sports car racing, so we're hoping this bad boy will continue the legacy.
