For those of you who are not familiar with the term "PAS" , you can read more about this new concept designed by BMW. The rumor is that the PAS will be available sometimes in 2010, but no other official details were released. In the mean time, many spy photos made their way onto the internet.
According to the guys at worldcarfans.com the PAS will be based on the next 5-series Touring and apparently it will be priced close to the X6(the price is still uncertain) and will have a wheelbase of around 3 meters. Total length of the car will be between 4.4 and 4.9 meters.
The guys at worldcarfans go even further and based on their inside sources, they claim that the the interior will be huge with four adjustable single seats and the PAS will not have suicide doors but it will have large wheels, from 18 inch in diameter for base models, right up to optional 21inch rims.
While all of these are still pure speculations in my opinion, it is interesting to see if BMW will really go down this way and really make the PAS a truly beautiful Progressive Active Sedan, whatever that term means.
And what do you think of these photo renderings? Would you like the PAS to look be designed like this?

Interesting…it will be fun to eventually see if this car takes sales away from the upcoming X6…..if the PAS car looks like this, it will likely be more attractive to buyers who are/were considering the X6. I for one like the lines a little more than the X6, though that is my humble opinion…
Cheers,
