Want to write for BMWBlog?

We’d love to hear from you! Just fill in the contact form and send it our way.

What are your benefits?

Even though we are a fairly new blog in the blogosphere, we established ourselves as being the number one BMW related blog. We serve over 300,000 visitors/month and there are over 1 million pages viewed monthly. We have also over 2000 RSS subscribers that read our articles daily through email or a RSS reader.

Considering the large amount of traffic we are generating, writing for us could definitely help you promote your name or your website, plus it’s fun to be part of a dynamic team and have an impact on the future growth. We can definitely grow together and achieve new levels.

I remember when I first started, I used to write articles for other car related blogs and in exchange, I was allowed to mention my website or blog in those article with the appropriate link. That really helped us take off and it was easier and cheaper than any other advertising methods. So, let us help you grow in the same time with us and get more exposure for yourself.

Josh, one of our first contributors here at BMWBlog has become an Editor for us and he was also offered a job with another website, writing for their motorsport division.

Anyone wishing to become a regular contributor should submit a note throught our contact page and explain what you would like to write about. Some experience writing is useful, but not necessary, passion helps though.

    Hi Horatiu, I am about to pull the trigger on a 135 and noticed your post about the advertising budget.
    I represent http://www.farecompare.com we have about 1.5 million users each month. Can you suggest a marketing person I can follow up with.

    Thanks for the information, sorry for the strange approach.

    Regards,
    Mike

    I am very interested in helping contribute to the BMW Blog, I have many years of experience driving BMW’s and would love to write about them on a regular basis. I’ve been buying and selling used bmw’s online for a few years and think I would provide a unique outlook on your blog.

    Thank you for your consideration,

  • adood84

    I have never done a blog before , so I’m not sure if I should apply. Lets just say that I’ve been a fan of BMW since I was 2 years old :)

  • Sba

    Mhhh interesting, but I have one question, writing for bmwblog.com means we gotta find news, or photoes or there is someone who look for the news and we just have to write ?

  • http://www.bmwblog.com Horatiu B.

    @adood84: All it takes it’s passion. Many of the articles I write, wrote, came from personal ideas or opinions. If you have something in mind and would like to share, then that could be an article. Look at our articles that don’t cover news, and you will see car comparisons, analysis…etc..

    @Sba: No, we’re pretty much good at covering that, but ..in case we miss something or you come across something we missed, then I encourage you to write about it. We usually have a list with the recent good news that we cover, sometimes we cover the full list, sometimes not, depending on the resources. But, as I said above, you can always write about anything BMW related, not necessary news. I wrote in the past even on how to detail a BMW, how to save money on a BMW, what insurance to buy, which car handles better, Audi vs Infiniti or BMW, etc…these are just a few examples :)

    We’re really laid back since we’re not a full printed newspaper, and that’s the beauty of a blog, the editorial process is very small and everyone is encourage to express their opinion, positive or negative. Let me know if you have more questions, you can always contact me at info@bmwblog.com

    Thank you guys

  • Sba

    Well thank you Horatiu, I’ll think about it because like adood I’m a big BMW fan, a man proud to be a bimmer, but like him I’ve never wrote on a blog before :P

    Just two more question:

    1) How many bloggers are you looking for;
    2) How much time do we have to apply (approximately)?

    Thank you very much!!

  • http://www.bmwblog.com Horatiu B.

    @Sba: 1. There is no limit, whoever wants to be part of the team and believe in us, then they are more than welcome.
    2. It’s really up to you, I don’t impose any time on our bloggers, you can write at your own pace. I know all of us have jobs so it’s not always easy to make time for a hobby. Josh, for example, writes once a week, and sometimes he does 3-4 articles/week, like I mentioned earlier, I like to give people liberty on what and how much they write.

    And you guys are great, always posting comments, so you definitely have a lot of passion and interest :)

  • Clara

    do we at least get dental?

  • http://www.bmwblog.com Horatiu B.

    @Clara: :) and paid vacation

    Still waiting for your first article :)

  • Clara

    @Horatiu B.:

    How about a series called, “the intern”

  • http://www.bmwblog.com Horatiu B.

    @Clara: Look at Josh, he moved up from intern :) He should tell you how he was invited to Ford Flex press launch. So Clara, are you in? :)

  • adood84

    I just applied :)

  • http://www.rawautos.com RawAutos

    @Clara: I started blogging a year ago October 1, Clara. I am now a well regarded blogger in many areas. I do video test drives of cars, full reviews. and what have you. Just the other month I did a video review of the 2009 Ford Flex, and out of the blue Ford e-mailed me asking to be a part of their 2009 Model Lineup Test Drive Event in Dearborn, MI. They paid for all of my airfare, limo and hotel accommodations. I got to drive cars all day on their test tracks eating great food, learning new technology, and best of all, I got to talk to and learn from some of the best journalists in the business. People that I’ve been reading for years.

    Blogging is a life that is best to be what you make of it. If you want it to be your profession, you can make it so. If you want it to be a fun hobby, then you can do that, too.

    Good luck with your decision, Clara. Feel free to ask me any questions.
