We all know that BMW is famous for their camouflage techniques and their ability to really hide how the final product will look like. Mercedes-Benz uses a full body cladding, in contrast to BMW, who has been using the tape technique over the important physical elements on the cars' exterior.
But, as you can see from these photos, BMW seems to be moving to an more complex camouflaging scheme: a tape with patterns.
The car in these photos is not one of the new BMW models, but in fact the current generation E65 7-series.
The exact reasoning for this change is unknown at this time, but if you think you can give a good explanation, please feel free to comment below.
