Mercedes-Benz needs a new engine for its B-Class models coming out sometimes in 2011. The new B-Class would take the place of the current A- and B-Class cars cars, and come in five shapes: 3-door, 5-door, SUV, coupe, and convertible.
BMW has partnered with the french automaker Peugeot and have developed together a 4-cylinder engine that currently powers the Mini line. Mercedes is in need for such engine that will power its new B-Class but there is a small issue: BMW announced just this month that it would be ending its partnership with Peugeot on those engines. MB is looking at their options and they're suppose to make a decision within a month.
Nonetheless, it would be interesting to see an engine developed by the competition powering the cars of its major competitor.
