I was watching the Fox News the other night and I saw a news article that made me smile. Apparently, motorists blowing off stop signs is a problem in Oak Lawn, Illinois. The council came up with…a interesting, and unusual in the same time, idea. They have added second stop signs under the regular ones at 50 intersections.
The second signs include lighthearted addenda, like "WHOAAA" "In the name of love" and "… and smell the roses".
No news on how effective these new signs are but it's expected that a full report and case study will be available soon.
