Alpina has just released three new models: B3 Biturbo, B5 S and B6 S, corresponding to the 3, 5 and 6 BMW series. According to Alipina, these new models promise M-series-like performance. If you are not familiar with Alpina, then I should mention that for the past 30 years, Alpina is taking what BMW is offering and they improve the technology found in the bimmers. They've managed to get their automatic gearshifts down to 100 milliseconds, for instance, rivaling or besting many factory DSG-type auto manuals on the market.
The 3.0L six in the B3 Biturbo is now putting out 360 HP, compared to 265 from the regular BMW engine. T. And in the 5 and 6, they took the V8 from 390 to 540 HP!
But, even though they deliver phenomenal products, it's a shame that it won't be available for us in the United States.
