One of the C1 diesels gets up to 57 MPG, and a 1.2L SEAT Ibiza gets up to 69 MPG. And another which you have ignored is the Peugeot 206. It may not be quite as efficient as some Euro-boxes, but at 44 MPG it's better than most on your list and is a hell of a lot sportier and better looking. Fiats, Toyota's and Cits are all hard to take, so you haven't picked the eyes out of the good ones in my view.
