The pictures were taken at the Regensburg BMW Plant. From the pictures, it seems like the sunroof is optional which is great news for all the BMW fans that wanted to shed off a few pounds out of their car to make it faster.

that since the roof was going to be made of light weight carbon fiber that precluded the possibility of that happening. Perhaps BMW has developed a way to have the carbon fiber roof with the built-in sunroof? Anyways, we will know in a few months. [source:EdBMWblog] [IMG regen0.jpg][IMG regen1.jpg]
