My previous article, that was comparing the BMW 135i with the 335i model, has received some criticism. My peers mentioned that the comparison is not fair since the BMW 135i is built on the chassis of the old 3-series, the E46 models and the body style somehow resembles the 325i or 330i from the E46 line.
Having this said, I decided to dig a little hoping to find the specs on the upcoming 135i and compare it to the older BMW 325i model.
BMW 135i Specs:
Length: 171.7
Width: : 68.8
Height : 55.4
BMW 325i E46
Length x Width x Height : 176 x 68.5 x 55.7.
From the dimensions I’ve given above, we can see that the BMW 135i is about a foot shorter in length, but the other specs are very close to each other.
By looking at the comparison photos , I can definitely see how the 135i has a resemblance to its “older brother”.
Is my assumption wrong?

Don’t really agree, the E46sedan is most similar to the E90, there are lots of the “3series similarities” between the two, including the side windows shape, the body shape and the emotion of the car. As for dimensions, well, anyone can make a car any dimension they want.
Honestly, I don’t think that the E46 has anything in common with the E9x models. The BMW 135i and 335i almost have the same size and they share a lot of common points
it’s not a foot shorter in length: 171.7 vs 176. more like 4 inches.

the only thing i hate about 135i is the front styling.
the side and back is fresher than old E46.
